This song was inspired by the death of Patrick Wanninkhof, my lifelong friend, bassist, former romantic partner and biggest fan. He was struck by a driver who was distracted by looking at her phone while he was biking across the United States on Bike and Build, an organization that builds affordable housing for charity. Every dollar raised from the sale of this song will go to his charity, PatrickRidesOn.org, which teaches underprivileged children about cycling. He was an inspiration to everyone he met, from his friends to his students at Fordham Arts High School in the Bronx. #PatrickRidesOn
